Thank You District 1!

Thank you to the voters of District 1 for voting me in to office to represent you. It was a long seventeen weeks of walking the many subdivisions that border District 1. From Park Meadow in the southeast corner to Walden in the southwest corner to Applewood and Franklin Station/Georgetown square in the northwest and to the apartment communities in the northeast I knocked on almost every door once and several two or three times. Thank you to the many that supported me by putting my campaign sign in your yard and otherwise encouraged your friends and neighbors to vote for me. Thank you to Winnie Parrish, Kelly Adkison, Stephen Brooks and Ron for walking neighborhoods during the runoff. I was able to canvass our district during the regular election but did not have enough time for the runoff. I am very appreciative to you four for literally stepping out for me.

In talking with many of you there was a consistent theme of concern about communication. The voters of District 1 made clear that they would like their City Council and Mayor to communicate better among themselves and with the community. I believe that the incoming City Council and Mayor will succeed in doing just that. I also believe there will be a spirit of open, encouraging and productive communication among all parties. In an effort to directly impact communication I will keep this website updated and fluid. In addition to this page I will communicate via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. It is my goal to always be accessible to you.

The City Council and Mayor’s office will be releasing a 90 day plan in the next few days. In addition I will be communicating my personal goals for the next four years. I promise to represent you to the very best of my ability. I also promise to be accessible to you. I may not know the answer to your question immediately but I will work very hard to find that answer. Thank you again and may the Lord bless Madison, Alabama and the United States always.
